Lance Armstrong is a really famous bicyclist that later found out that he had cancer. Lance Armstrong was so resilient, that as soon as he was almost cured, he got right back up on his bike, and rode once more. James Braddock was also very resilient. James Braddock grew up in a poor family, and later had a family of his own, which he could barely afford. I created an art piece that represents both of these people. I painted pictures of them and put a bicycle tire around the canvas to represent Lance Armstrong. In my opinion Lance Armstrong and James Braddock are two of the most resilient people that I know.

100 word essay
Lance Armstrong and James J. Braddock are two very different yet very similar people. They both had to overcome hard events which would usually cause most people to quit or give up on their dreams but not these two. These two, fought through it and overachieved their goals. This is why I decided to write and perform a rap song. I chose to do a rap song because it's a fun, exciting, and easy way to get important messages across. It's entertaining and a joy for all to watch. The main message that I wanted to get across for Lance Armstrong was, that he loved bike racing and fought through cancer to keep doing what he loved. For James J. Braddock I wanted to get across that he was living during the great depression and most people would just try to survive, but he did not only that, he also fought physically to accomplish his dream.

Relationships
There aren't that many things that I have in common with either James Braddock or Lance Armstrong. But if I really think about it, I think that one thing that stands out about us is that we all are really hard workers. And by this I mean that if either one of us has a goal that we really want to pursue, we will work really hard to get that specific goal. For example, Lance Armstrong is a really great bicyclist, but later on in his career, he got cancer. Lance Armstrong had to quit riding his bike and try to recover from the cancer that he got. Once Lance Armstrong recovered from his cancer, he got back on his bike and kept riding. I think that that was very resilient. And I think that I could relate to that (just in a minor kind of way.) And that would be when I broke my wrist playing a sport, then once I recovered, I quickly went back to playing sports.
The same thing goes for James Braddock. James Braddock had to go through being really poor in his childhood and during his adulthood. He also had a family, which he could barely afford to put food on the table for. James Braddock faced the truth, and started boxing for his money. And in my opinion, that was very resilient.

Roy Lichtenstien
There are not many artists that inspire me, and one of those artists would be Roy lichtenstien. He was a guy who did really cool cartoon drawings. And even though I did not draw comics for my artistic project, he still is really cool.
